A kitchen renovation 'can revitalise a home' July 28, 2010
Refurbishing a kitchen can transform it into the most welcoming room in a house, it has been suggested.
Andreas Loppas of Marken Builders advised Britons on how to make the most of their kitchens in a piece for ArticlesBase.com.
"A new kitchen revitalises a home and will, by using innovative designs, increase the space you have to hand," he said.
Mr Loppas claimed that the economic climate is causing many people to make improvements to their existing property rather than move house.
And a new kitchen can be more environmentally-friendly as well as saving money in the long run, he commented.
Mr Loppas also recommended upgrading kitchen appliances to energy-efficient models.
A recent survey conducted by Halifax revealed that a new kitchen was the most expensive home improvement made by Brits in the last year, costing £6,609 on average.
Homeowners have typically spent £6,362 on DIY in the last 12 months, an increase of around £1,000 on last year.
