PETER HINDLE MBE ELECTED TO CRANFIELD SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT ADVISORY BOARD February 26, 2010
Peter Hindle MBE, Jewson Managing Director and General Delegate, Saint-Gobain UK, Ireland & South Africa is to take a seat on the new Advisory Board of one of Europes leading business schools.
He will join illustrious names from the world of business to offer informed guidance to the Cranfield School of Management on its strategic direction, international positioning, building its brand and enhancing its networks.
Commenting on his appointment Peter Hindle MBE said:
"I am delighted and honoured to be asked to join the Advisory Board. Throughout the Saint-Gobain Group we place a very strong emphasis on learning and personal development which is completely in line with the goals and objectives of Cranfield and I hope to use my own experience and skills to support the ongoing development of Cranfield and the next generation of business leaders."
Saint-Gobain has a long standing relationship with Cranfield and over the last five years over 60 of the organisation's leading executives have passed through courses at the university. Peter Hindle himself attended course some years ago and today professors at Cranfield continue to advise Saint-Gobain on a consultancy basis.

Commenting on the establishment of the Advisory Board, Director of School, Professor Frank Horwitz said: "The Advisory Board is a high level, diverse group of international executives tasked to advise, assist and give counsel to the School on pertinent issues relating to business leadership and management, particularly with regard to innovating and improving the practice of management. I am delighted that Peter has accepted our invitation to join the board.
